Born from the fear of losing a pet

TrovaZampa was born for Griffin

He got lost in the countryside around our house in San Vito dei Normanni. I spent the whole day looking for him — calling his name, walking the fields whistling, driving every back lane I could find. Nothing. I went home that evening with the feeling I'd really lost him.

At dawn the next morning I drove back to the property, almost without hope. There he was, asleep in front of the gate, as if he'd known exactly where to wait for me.

I was lucky. A lot of people aren't.

In those silent hours I understood something simple: if Griffin had had something on his collar — a tag anyone could scan to call me right away — I'd never have had to spend that day fearing the worst.

That's why TrovaZampa exists. And that's why the base tag is free, forever: nobody should have to pay to give their dog or cat one more chance of coming home. 🐾
